Keith Sheller, II Obituary

Keith C. Sheller, II
December 2, 1964 - February 11, 2024

Keith Coy Sheller, II, 59, of Custar, Ohio died of natural causes unexpectedly on Sunday, February 11, 2024 at his residence.

He was born on December 2, 1964 in Napoleon, Ohio to Keith C. Sheller and Geraldine (Fahrer) Sheller.  His mother survives in Napoleon, Ohio.  He was preceded in death by his father, Keith, and a step father, Lauriel "Lynn" Ripke. On the same day as Keith, his brother Daniel Sheller also passed.  He is survived by a brother, David Sheller; sisters, Julie Hoffman; Lisa (Bradley) Whitford and sister-in-law, Brenda Sheller.

On July 5, 1985 Keith married Sally (Chadwick) Sheller. Though they later divorced, they shared over 20 years of marriage and had two children who survive, Ashley (James) Cumbus and Alex Sheller.  Sally’s death preceded Keith’s.

At 17 years old, Keith enlisted in the U.S. Navy as an engineman through the delayed entry program. His career sent him to duty stations and deployments across the world. He retired as a Senior Chief Petty Officer with over 23 years of active service.

Keith loved life and dedicated his too short time on Earth to living it the biggest. He loved cars and motorcycles and going fast. He was proud of his worldly travels and the experiences he gained from it. He was the life of the party and his smile was contagious. His trust in other humans was unmatched. He was creative and resourceful and could fix anything. He was strong and brave and rarely found a fear. Though he is greatly missed by so many, his loved ones are comforted by the very full life he lived and embraced every single day.
