Charles "Red" Wright

Charles "Red" Wright, 81, formerly of Deshler, Ohio passed away Monday night, October 8, 2018 at his daughter's home in Jerry City, Ohio.
He was born May 22, 1937 in Winfield, Tennessee to the late Robert Dewey and Lottie (Walker) Wright.
On December 14, 1965 he married Brenda Walker in Minden, West Virginia and she preceded him in death on September 22, 2000.
Red served his country in the U.S. Army. He worked for over 15 years a the former Claude Sintz, Inc. factory in Deshler, Ohio. He had also formerly worked for Stout's Construction where he was involved in the construction of grain silos. He was a former member of Deshler American Legion Post #316.
In his spare time, Red enjoyed woodworking and was very gifted in making cedar chests.
He is survived by his daughter, Anita (Randy) Simons, Jerry City, Ohio; sons, Charles "Bud" (Angela) Wright, Spring Hill, Tennessee; Campbell Monroe Wright, McMinnville, Tennessee; 7 grandchildren, Brittany Wright; Randi Simons; Kimberly Simons; Christopher Wright; Ethan Wright; Hannah Wright; Corey Wright; great granddaughter, Paisley; brothers, Mac (Rita) Wright; Robert (Hazel) Wright; several nieces, nephews and family and friends.
He was also preceded in death by a son, James Wright; brothers, James "Buddy" Wright; Lushen White and Roy Wright; and sisters, Geneva Shoopman Stephens; Mildred Smith and Anna Lee Wright.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at Feehan-Rodenberger Funeral Home, Deshler with Pastor Russell Teegardin officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Deshler.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
