Louise A. Meienburg
August 22, 1911 - July 8, 2019
Louise Anna Meienburg, 107, formerly of rural Malinta, Ohio passed away on Monday evening, July 8, 2019 at the Fulton Manor Nursing & Rehab Center, Wauseon, Ohio.
She was born August 22, 1911 in Richfield Township, Henry County to August and Adina (Helmke) Yungmann. On November 22, 1931 she married William H. Meienburg and he preceded her in death on February 22, 1998.
Louise was a devoted wife and mother as she took care of her home and accompanied her husband during their lifetime together on the family farm. She was talented to do almost anything around the home and farm. She will be remembered for her cooking and baking of coffee cakes, homemade breads and cookies. She was a gifted quilter and was able to make quilts for all members of her family. Her gardens were regularly tended and homemade goods and canned goods were always provided. She treated the world with an even more special talent as the grandchildren and great grandchildren arrived. Louise was always helpful and made herself available to baby-sit and care for the next generation, continuing to share her talents with the entire family.
She was a faithful member of Peace Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aide.
She is survived by her two daughters, Doris Kuesel, Holgate, Ohio; Ruth Smith, Delta, Ohio; 5 grandchildren, Bob (Mary) Kuesel; Dianne (Mike) Adkins; Tina (Ed) Rodriguez; Tom (Kathleen) Badenhop and Tara Welling; 19 great grandchildren; 36 great great grandchildren; 1 great great great grandchild; step grandchildren, Tim (Ella) Shelley; Tom (Lois) Childress and 2 step great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by sisters, Esther (Martin) Hoops; Nora Yungmann; brothers, Alfred (Altha) Yungmann; Martin (Clara) Yungmann; son-in-laws, Bill Kuesel; Werner Badenhop; Ralph Smith; granddaughter-in-law, Verlinda Kuesel and grandson-in-law, Scott Welling.
Funeral services to celebrate Louise's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday at Peace Lutheran Church, Deshler with Rev. Paul Lange officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery and a fellowship luncheon will follow at the church.
Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. prior to the services at the church.
The family suggests donations to Peace Lutheran Church, Hospice of NW Ohio or Thoughts of Faith Mission Fund.
