Marvin M. Imbrock

Marvin Martin Imbrock, 90, of Malinta, Ohio passed away Sunday afternoon, June 3, 2018 at The Toledo Hospital, Toledo, Ohio.
He was born August 7, 1927 to the late Martin and Laura (Koppenhofer) Imbrock. On October 15, 1950 he married the love of his life, Loretta (Gerken) Imbrock and they shared over 60 years together before she preceded him in death on February 11, 2011.
Marvin was employed by the Campbell Soup Company until retirement. His greatest joy and sense of fulfillment came from tending to his family farm. Up to his final day, he was actively involved in managing the day to day details. Marvin's favorite pastime was polka dancing.
Marvin honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was trained as a Radio Operator at Fort Knox and spent most of his time overseas in Germany.
He was a faithful member of St. John Lutheran Church, Deshler, where he served in various capacities. He was a member of Deshler American Legion Post #316. He was one of the founding members of the Bavarian Haus in Deshler.
He is survived by his children, Debra Imbrock of Schoolcraft, Michigan; Michael (Kim) Imbrock, Hamler; Darla (David) Jones, Bryan, Ohio; Mark (Dana) Imbrock, Sylvania and Dena Imbrock, Grapevine, Texas; grandchildren, Ben Smith; Andy Smith; Zach Smith; Mykal Imbrock; Joe (Samantha) Imbrock; Morgan Imbrock; Matthew Jones, Danielle Jones; Jake Jones; Josh Jones; Katelyn Imbrock; Ross Imbrock; Mya Imbrock; sisters, Carmen (Donald) Hogrefe, Deshler; Alice (John) Tussing, Deshler.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Dianna Imbrock; sister, Mary Imbrock; and brothers, Raymond Imbrock and Waldo Imbrock.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 7th at St. John Lutheran Church, Deshler with Rev. James Wenger officiating. Graveside services will be held at the church cemetery where full Military Honors will be accorded by Deshler American Legion Post #316. A luncheon will follow in the church fellowship hall.
Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 6th at Feehan-Rodenberger Funeral Home, Deshler and from 10-11 a.m. on Thursday, June 7th at the church.
The family suggests memorials to St. John Lutheran Church Memorial Fund in Deshler, the Deshler Edwin Wood Memorial Library, or to the donor's choice.
