March 19, 1959 - April 29, 2019

   Timothy "Tim" Christman, 60, of Deshler, Ohio passed away on Monday, April 29, 2019 at his residence.
   He was born March 19, 1959 in Bluffton, Ohio to Robert and S. Eloise (Bowersox) Christman.  On December 6, 1986 he married Lisa Whitaker in Van Wert, Ohio.
   Tim was a 1978 graduate of Patrick Henry High School, where he was a 3 sport athlete.  He remained active throughout his life with sports, whether it was playing in men's softball leagues and basketball leagues or lending a hand in his children's little league teams.
   He was a lifetime farmer and drainage contractor; working along side his father for many years.  He took over and currently owned and operated the family business of Christman Farm Drainage and Farms.
   Tim attended New Beginnings United Methodist Church, Deshler and was a member of the Sons of the American Legion and the Deshler Men's Association. 
   Tim never met a stranger and would never shy away from a conversation.  He knew many people throughout the area and always found a connection.  He will certainly be remembered for his passion for sports, especially the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cincinnati Reds.  He had a unique ability to cheer on his favorite teams.
   He is survived by his wife, Lisa; daughter, Ashley (Ryan) Franz; son, Austin Christman; grandsons, Nolan and Nash Franz and sister, Diane Christman (Burt Hudson).
   He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Gary Christman.
   Funeral services are 1:00 p.m. on Friday at New Beginnings United Methodist Church with Rev. Chris Walter officiating.  Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Deshler.
   Visitation is 2-8 p.m. on Thursday at Feehan-Rodenberger Funeral Home, Deshler and 12-1 p.m., Friday at the church.
   The family suggests memorials to Patrick Henry Athletic Boosters or New Beginnings United Methodist Church.
