James "Jim" Rayle
September 27, 1959 - May 17, 2022
James William "Jim" Rayle, 62, of Deshler, Ohio passed away Tuesday morning, May 17, 2022 at his residence.
He was born September 27, 1959 in Bowling Green, Ohio to the late Glen and Betty (Burke) Rayle. Jim was a Patrick Henry High School graduate and enlisted to serve his country in the U.S. Air Force. Jim served from 1981 -1987 as a Staff Sergeant and spent most of his time in Alaska.
He worked as a tow motor operator at the former Claude Sintz factory, Deshler and was also a truck driver. He was a life member of the D.A.V., Ottawa, Ohio and member of the Deshler American Legion Post #316. In his spare time he loved to go mushroom hunting, fishing and being a grandpa.
On July 23, 2011 he married Tammy (Hyter) Rayle and she survives. He is also survived by daughter, Elizabeth (Aaron) Miller; son, Zachary Rayle; step children, Cory (Erin) Sheller; Jenna (Matt) Fletcher; Brent Sheller; 12 grandchildren; sisters, Judy Chemelewski; Debra Smith and brothers, Gary (Sue) Rayle and Robert (Pam) Rayle.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Travis "TJ" Rayle; and brother, Darrell Knepper.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday at Feehan-Rodenberger Funeral Home, Deshler with Rev. Kurtis Freimuth officiating. Graveside services with military honors will follow at Marion Township Cemetery, Hamler, Ohio.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. prior to the services at the funeral home.
