Jamie J. Van Zandt
May 23, 1972 – November 24, 2021
Jamie John Van Zandt, 49, of Deshler, Ohio passed away Wednesday, November 24, 2021.
He was born May 23, 1972 in Bowling Green, Ohio to John Larry Van Zandt and Michele (Meyer) Cook.
Jamie attended Patrick Henry High School. He most recently worked for Enviroscape in Deshler, Ohio.
For those that knew him, he was a motorcycle enthusiast, an excellent fabricator, a builder and all around fix-it man. He was hardworking and he played hard too! He enjoyed people, parties and kids. The parties meant he was always there to raise the tents and raise a toast. They allowed him to go on his so-called honey hunts and him looking at the pretties; and of course, lots of good stories. His great sense of humor gave him the ability to make people laugh; whether it was his changes to song lyrics or his "Squamie" road stories; you were going to have a good time listening to Jamie. If he called you brother or sister, he meant it. He shared his love with his family and those closest to him.
He is survived by a son, Dillon (Nicole) Van Zandt, Bowling Green; his parents, Larry (Barb) Van Zandt, Deshler; Michele (Richard) Cook, Deshler; brother, Michael Van Zandt, Deshler and nephews, Joshua Brownfield; Lance Van Zandt and Dalton Stott.
A memorial gathering will be from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, December 3, 2021 at Feehan-Rodenberger Funeral Home, Deshler, Ohio.
The family suggests donations to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
