Robert "Bob" Blue
November 19, 1939 - August 15, 2022

   Robert L. Blue, 82, of Hamler, Ohio passed away Monday morning, August 15, 2022 at his residence.
   He was born November 19, 1939  in Napoleon, Ohio to the late Perry "Chub" and Helen (Willier) Blue.  On May 21, 1960 he married Louisa (Wiemken) Blue at Bethlehem Lutheran Church - Adams Ridge.  Together they have shared over 61 years of married life and she preceded him in death on April 2, 2022.
   Bob was a 1958 graduate of Napoleon High School.  He was the owner and operator of Robert Blue Trucking, Hamler.  His passion for truck driving took him all over the country and it proudly still operates today in the care of his children and grandchildren.
   He was a member of St. Stephen Lutheran Church, Hamler; Napoleon Elks Lodge; Ohio Trucking Association; and a lifetime member of Patrick Henry Athletic Boosters.  He was also a past member of the Hamler/Marion Township Fire Department.
   Bob and his wife Louisa enjoyed many years traveling; especially their winters in Arizona and San Diego, California.  When relaxing he enjoyed reading about trains, but what he treasured most was his family.
   He is survived by two daughters, Brenda Conkright and Bethany (Rick) Gable; daughter-in-law, Karren Blue; grandchildren; Makalie; Denton; Ashton; Marissa; Karigan; Kalyn; Allison; Andrew; great grandchildren; Gretchen; Aliza; Natalee; Jett; Cord; Kennedy; Carolyn; Grayden; Hazel; Gavin; brother, Jim (Gail) Blue; brothers-in-law, Norman (Kathleen) Wiemken and Henry (Rose) Wiemken.
   He was also preceded in death by a son, Bruce Blue; son-in-law, Dave Conkright; brothers, Richard "Skip" Blue; Jerry Blue and sister, Marianne Aldrich. 
   Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday at St. Stephen Lutheran Church with Rev. Richard Sauerlender officiating.  Burial will be in Marion Township Cemetery and a luncheon will follow in the church fellowship hall.
   Visitation will be from 2-7 p.m. on Thursday at Feehan-Rodenberger Funeral Home, Deshler and a fireman's last call service will be held at 7:00 p.m.  Visitation will also be from 10-11 a.m. on Friday at the church.
   In lieu of flowers, Bob's family strongly suggests memorials to St. Stephen Lutheran Church or Putnam County HomeCare.
