Rosemary Sheley
May 24, 1946 – December 20, 2020
Rosemary Sheley, 74, of Napoleon, Ohio and formerly of Deshler, Ohio passed away early Sunday morning, December 20, 2020 at Brookview Healthcare Center, Defiance, Ohio.
She was born May 24, 1946 in Deshler, Ohio to the late Oscar and Evelyn (Campbell) Overmyer. On June 5, 1967 she married Paul Sheley and they have shared over 53 years together.
Rosemary graduated from Bowling Green Area School of Practical Nursing in 1976. She worked for over 33 years in local nursing positions at Oak Grove Manor, Deshler; Holgate Quality Care, Holgate, Ohio; Filling Home of Mercy, Napoleon, Ohio and First Call for Help, Napoleon.
She enjoyed pets, garage sales, goodwill shopping and adding to her extensive collection of angels. A good cook and baker, she used those talents for extended family dinners. Nothing was more important to her than her family. They will remember her as a strong, sometimes stubborn, generous, hard working woman that fiercely loved and protected them. She would do anything for her children and grandchildren. If you needed something, she was there for them with no questions asked.
She is survived by her husband, Paul; daughter, Paula (Jeff) Jones, Hutto, Texas; son, Tracy Guelde (Michele Loveday), Deshler; grandchildren, Zackary Guelde, Tony, Alabama; Savanna (Eric) Telaak, Franklin, Tennessee; Dalton Guelde, Deshler; Kendall Anderson, Westerville, Ohio; Grayson Anderson, Delaware, Ohio; Britain Okuly, Hutto, Texas; great grandson, Liam Ash Telaak and brother, Dennis (Charmaine) Overmyer, Clermont, Florida
She was also preceded in death by a brother, Robert Overmyer; two sisters, Barbara Brown McDaniel; Shirley
Klear Cass; grandson, Logan Anderson; and step father, Howard Kratzer.
A private family service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 28, 2020. She will be laid to rest at
Woodlawn Cemetery, Deshler. Arrangements have been entrusted to Feehan-Rodenberger Funeral Home,
Deshler.
